Dalam unggahannya di Instagram @dedimulyadi71, remaja tersebut dengan tegas mengungkapkan ketidaksetujuannya terhadap kebijakan yang dianggapnya terlalu membatasi kebebasan dan ekspresi siswa.

“Wisuda bukan hanya sekadar acara seremonial, tapi juga merupakan simbol dari segala usaha dan kerja keras kami selama tiga tahun,” ujar remaja wanita tersebut.

Gubernur Jabar kemudian menanggapi hal ini dengan santai tetapi penuh keyakinan.

Dalam sebuah video yang viral di berbagai platform, Dedi menjelaskan bahwa di banyak negara, wisuda tidaklah lazim diadakan untuk tingkat SMP atau SMA.

“Kenangan itu bukan hanya di acara wisuda, tapi dari proses belajar yang berlangsung selama tiga tahun. Jika acara wisuda dirayakan, bisa jadi malah mengarah pada komersialisasi pendidikan,” ujar Dedi.

Namun, sang remaja tidak tinggal diam dan berpendapat bahwa momen perpisahan sangat penting untuk menciptakan kenangan yang tak terlupakan bersama teman-teman, guru, dan sekolah.

“Ini bukan soal biaya atau kemewahan, ini soal penghargaan terhadap apa yang telah kami capai bersama sebagai simbol kebersamaan yang tak bisa diulang,” ujarnya dengan penuh semangat.

Perdebatan ini pun semakin panas, dengan sejumlah netizen turut serta menyuarakan pendapat, ada yang mendukung kebijakan gubernur yang akrab disapa KDM sebagai langkah efisiensi dan penghematan.

Di sisi lain ada pula yang merasa bahwa momen perpisahan adalah hak setiap siswa untuk merayakan pencapaian mereka apalagi setelah berjuang melewati ujian dan tahun-tahun yang penuh tantangan.

Meskipun kontroversi ini belum menemukan titik temu, satu hal yang jelas adalah perbedaan cara pandang mengenai arti penting sebuah perpisahan.

Bagi sebagian orang, momen itu adalah sebuah penutupan yang indah dari perjalanan panjang, sementara bagi yang lain, kenangan itu terbangun dari proses panjang yang lebih dari sekadar sebuah acara.

By the late 1930s, that asphalt plant had become outdated, and the neighborhood had evolved from a partly commercial to a largely residential area. In mid-1939, Isaacs announced plans to build a three-level asphalt and sanitation plant on the East River near 90th Street. An asphalt plant had existed on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, along the East River near 91st Street, since May 1914. Manhattan borough president Stanley M. Isaacs announced plans for a three-level asphalt and sanitation plant on the site in 1939, and Kahn and Jacobs’s plans were announced the next year. West of the swimming center, on York Avenue between 91st and 92nd Streets, is the DeKovats Playground. According to the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC), Isaacs wished for an “architectural treatment that would blend harmoniously with” both the nearby residential buildings and the neighboring East River (now FDR) Drive on the East River.

These funds allowed Asphalt Green to hire a full-time park supervisor, but the city government still had not provided any funds for the site. In 1968, the New York City government constructed a new asphalt plant in Queens, serving all five of the city’s boroughs, and the separate asphalt plants in each borough were closed. The New York City government approved a construction contract for the new plant on March 13, 1941. The initial bids to build it were higher than expected, so the government revised the plans to reduce costs. The current building was originally the mixing plant, one of three structures in the asphalt plant. The mixing plant contained three sets of asphalt-mixing machines, one between each set of ribs. The lowest three stories had low ceilings, while the top floor contained a gym with a suspended running track. The second floor was to include physical-education space and an art studio, while the third story was to include a multipurpose space that could be used as an auditorium or a gymnasium.
